Title
Project Description:
Our laboratory conducts both basic and clinical science projects in veterinary orthopedics and neurology. Currently, we perform multidisciplinary research into cartilage tissue engineering, joint resurfacing, and mesenchymal stem cell differentiation and use. Clinically, studies into the pathogenesis and treatment of canine cranial cruciate disease, elbow dysplasia, and osteoarthritis are performed using state of the art techniques including CT, MRI, and gait analysis. Canine osteoarthritis is a major problem in both human and canine medicine and our research includes systematic reviews using evidence-based medicine, and clinical investigations into novel drugs and rehabilitation techniques.
