Environmental Tox Scholar
An important element of the program is the availability of toxicology scholarships. These awards last from one to three years and are awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic achievement and a commitment to a career in environmental toxicology. The recipients of the awards are designated Environmental Toxicology Scholars in honor of their accomplishments. Awards range from quarter-time to half-time graduate research assistantships and are renewable for up to 3 years. Students who are not in need of financial support may also apply for Toxicology Scholar status.

Students apply for Environmental Toxicology Scholar status during the spring semester. Each student must submit three letters of recommendation, a statement of career goals emphasizing anticipated roles in environmental toxicology and a research proposal. The applications are reviewed by a steering committee, which announces the awardees in the spring.

Call for Applications for the 2008-2009 academic year will be
announced in the fall of 2007.
