Course Details

The theme of this year’s course is the Triple Crown—two days of challenging and fun small animal toxicology events that will be sure to inspire learning.

Registration
The registration fee includes the program, parking, handout materials, and all breaks, meals, and receptions listed on the course schedule. Payment must be made at the time of registration to guarantee registration. The student rate applies to veterinary and veterinary technician students and interns only.

The early registration deadline is Sunday, May 4, 2008.

Course fees are payable by check or money order to the University of Illinois or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express and are due at the time of registration. Early registration is recommended. The course is limited to the first 75 registrants.

Continuing Education
Veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians can obtain up to 11.5 CEUs for attendance at the course. Participants will receive continuing education verification at the end of the conference.

Messages
In an emergency, messages can be left for course participants at 217/333-2907 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. As a courtesy to other course attendees, we request that all cell phone ringers be muted for the duration of the course.

Hotel Accommodations
Course attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Room blocks will be held through April 24, 2008. The below listed rates can be obtained by requesting the “U of I Vet Med” room block. All prices listed are not inclusive of taxes.

Transportation

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be given if written notification is received by Sunday, May 4, 2008. Written cancellation should be sent to ope@cvm.uiuc.edu or to the same mailing address to which registrations are sent. Registrations are transferable. After May 4, refunds will not be made. We reserve the right to cancel programs and to change speakers if necessary. In the event of conference cancellation, all registrants will receive a full refund. The University is not responsible for travel expenses in the event of a cancellation.

Location
On Thursday, May 15, the course will be held at the ASPCA Midwest office, which is located at 1717 S. Philo Rd., Ste. 36, Urbana, Ill.

On Friday, May 16, the course will continue on the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine campus, which is located at 2001 S. Lincoln Ave., in Urbana, Ill. Lectures at the College of Veterinary Medicine will be held in rooms 2251 and 2258 of the Basic Sciences Building.

Course Check-In
Course materials will be available on Thursday, May 15, at the ASPCA Midwest office. On Friday, May 16, a check-in desk will be located in the main lobby of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Basic Sciences Building. The check-in desk will be available during the following hours:

Thursday, May 15 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Friday, May 16 7:00-9:00 a.m.

Parking
Thursday, May 15—The ASPCA Midwest office is located within Sunnycrest Shopping Center, which is located at 1717 S. Philo Rd., Ste. 36, Urbana, Ill. Course attendees may park in the Sunnycrest Shopping Center parking lot.

Friday, May 16—Special conference parking will be available in the grassy area north of the Basic Sciences Building on the College of Veterinary Medicine campus. Access to this grassy lot is via St. Mary’s Rd. Signs will be posted. The Basic Sciences Building is located at 2001 S. Lincoln Ave., Urbana, Ill.

It is important that attendees park in the appropriately designated area while on the University of Illinois campus. Violators will likely receive a parking ticket and automobiles may be towed. The College of Veterinary Medicine is not responsible for costs incurred as a result of a parking ticket or automobile tow.
