Conference Details
Registration
The pre-registration deadline is Sunday, March 16, 2008. Registrations faxed or postmarked after March 16, 2008, will be charged the on-site registration fee. Printed copies of the proceedings will be available to those who order them on or before March 16, 2008.

The full conference registration includes the following:
- Admission to all conference lectures
- One proceedings on CD-ROM
- Access to proceedings online for viewing and printing two weeks prior to the conference
- Refreshment breaks
- Continental breakfast on Saturday, March 29
- Lunch on Saturday, March 29
Attendance and participation in wet labs requires an additional registration fee.
One-Day Registration
One-day conference registration is available. Registration includes the following:
- Admission to all conference lectures on day registered
- One proceedings on CD-ROM
- Access to proceedings online for viewing and printing two weeks prior to the conference
- Refreshment breaks
- Continental breakfast on Saturday, March 29 [for Saturday registrants]
- Lunch on Saturday March 29 [for Satuarday registrants]
Attendance and participation in wet labs requires an additional registration fee.
Conference Fees
Payment must be provided at the time of registration to guarantee enrollment. Conference fees are payable by check or money order to the University of Illinois or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express and are due at the time of registration. Early registration is recommended.
All registrations received by the pre-registration deadline [Sunday, March 16, 2008] will be confirmed with a postcard.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Full refunds, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be given if written notification is received by Sunday, March 16, 2008. Registrations are transferable. After March 16, 2008, refunds will not be made. Refunds will not be made for laboratories. We reserve the right to cancel programs and to change speakers if necessary. In the event of conference cancellation, all registrants will receive a full refund.
Proceedings
Paid conference registrants will have access to proceedings online two weeks prior to Fall Conference. With their registration confirmation, registrants will receive a user name and password for accessing, viewing, and printing notes. Every paid conference registrant will receive proceedings on CD-ROM, which is included in the registration fee. Printed copies of the proceedings are available if pre-ordered on or before Sunday, March 16, 2008 ($35). This preference should be indicated when registering.
Continuing Education
Continuing education credit is available for certified veterinary technicians. Conference attendees are responsible for completing the Continuing Education Record of Participation form and having it signed by a conference representative prior to leaving the conference. Conference attendees are then responsible for submitting the record to their respective licensing agency and maintaining a record of participation. Continuing Education Record of Participation forms will be included with the materials to be picked up at conference registration. Designated areas for obtaining signatures will be provided at the conference. Continuing education certificates will not be generated.
Evaluation Forms
Please complete and return the overall conference evaluation form for a chance to win a complimentary registration for the 2009 Veterinary Technician Conference. You need not be present to win. Please also take a moment to complete the speaker evaluation forms. Your responses are valuable to the College of Veterinary Medicine in evaluating the conference. Constructive comments and suggestions will be used in developing future programs at the College.

Emergency Messages
In an emergency, messages can be left for conference participants at 217/333-2907 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. As a courtesy to other conference attendees, we request that all cell phone ringers be muted for the duration of the conference.
Registration Desk
Registration packets, including your name badge, meal ticket, and Continuing Education Record of Participation forms, may be picked up at the registration desk located in the lobby of the Basic Sciences Building during the following hours:
Friday, March 28 - 11:30-1:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 29 - 7:00-8:00 a.m.
Individuals arriving at a time other than those listed above may pick up their registration packets in room 3505 of the Basic Sciences Building.
Hotel Information
Conference attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. The hotel block will be held through March 3. Mention “CVM Vet Tech Conference” to receive the group rate. All prices listed are not inclusive of taxes.

Transportation
The University of Illinois is located near Interstates 57, 72, and 74. The community is also accessible by train via Amtrak and airplane through Willard Airport [CMI] at Savoy. Maps and directions to the College are available online at www.cvm.uiuc.edu/ope/.
Parking
Friday, March 28—Special conference parking will be available in the grassy area north of the Basic Sciences Building. Access to this grassy lot is via St. Mary’s Rd. Signs will be posted.
Saturday, March 29—Conference attendees may park in lot F27 with access off of Lincoln Ave. This lot is adjacent to the Basic Sciences Building and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
It is important that attendees park in the above designated areas at the appropriate times. Violators will likely receive a parking ticket and automobiles may be towed. The College of Veterinary Medicine is not responsible for costs incurred as a result of a parking ticket or automobile tow.
