Wet Labs

Wet labs require an additional registration fee and are not subject to refunds. The fees listed are for both practicing technicians and students. Should a lab not meet minimum registration requirements by Sunday, March 16, 2008, it may be cancelled. If the lab is cancelled, registrants will be notified and all registration fees associated with the lab will be refunded in full.

Small Animal Pain Management: Regional/Local Blocks

This lab will complete the pain management series of the conference, which will begin with lectures on the afternoon of Friday, March 28. Participants will have supervised hands-on learning of common and advanced local and regional blocks. New blocks have been added to the program since this was last offered at the College of Veterinary Medicine in March 2006.

This lab is a refresher course to help technicians save money and reduce exposure to themselves, their staff, and the patient by obtaining diagnostic radiographs on the first take. Participants will leave with a better understanding of the importance of positioning and technique of a variety of sites for diagnosis. Each participant will receive positioning aids to use in practice.
