SHORT BIO:

I was born in Hong Kong, China, and moved to Chicago, IL at the age of 3. I attended Lincoln Park High School and finished with an International Baccalaureate diploma in biology. I recently received a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. I am currently residing in Champaign, IL with my dog, cat, and three chinchillas.

EDUCATION

2005 Bachelor of Science, Molecular and Cellular Biology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

RESEARCH

I spent my last two and a half years in Dr. Shelley Tischkau’s Lab researching the endogenous neuroprotection of the suprachiasmatic nucleus against glutamate toxicity. I am currently a first year predoctoral student in the laboratory of Dr. Susan Schantz and will work on toxicity studies. My research interests include neurotoxicity studies such as neuroendocrine disrupters and cell chemical signaling studies.
