Farms - In House
Each year more than 1,000 cows, sheep, goats, llamas, pigs, and other agricultural animals are brought to the Large Animal Clinic for veterinary care. The Ambulatory Medicine service also travels to area farms, providing onsite medical and production assistance.
Animal owners choose our clinic because of its extensive facilities and expertise. Our specialized diagnostic equipment, including large animal X-ray and ultrasound, helps us identify your animal's problem. One of the state's three veterinary diagnostic laboratories is located at the College, providing rapid test results to assist in our diagnosis. The food animal clinicians also confer with the hospital’s veterinary specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, nutrition, oncology, and ophthalmology.
