Facilities
The Emergency Receiving Service Triage Unit is uniquely situated to allow after hours access to the ER triage room and the ER consult room. The unit includes state-of-the-art equipment includes defibrillators, pulse oximetry, continuous cardiac and blood pressure monitoring, a state of the art ventilator, specially constructed oxygen cages which are temperature and humidity controlled, and a blood bank.

We provide on site blood banking, ventilator therapy with state-of-the-art ventilators, direct and indirect arterial blood pressure monitoring, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and continuous drug infusions, particularly for pain management.

A critical care team consisting of a board certified veterinarian, an emergency veterinarian and technician, and senior veterinary students are in the Emergency Receiving Service Triage Unit every day receiving and managing life threatening emergency cases.
